hi i have the vaio pcv-rs346.

i would like to know if my mother board will take a udma133 harddrive

my motherboard is asus p4sd-vx


please someone help me


does anyone know where i can find a manul for my mother board

I HAVE USED A PROGRAM LIKE THAT BEFORE CALLED AIDA32

BUT IT DOESN'T SAY ANY INFORMATION ABOUT WHAT THE MOTHER BOARD CAN TAKE.

WHEN I DO A SEARCH FOR SPECS ON MY MOTHER BOARD I GET NOTHING.

I think not that it supports UDMA133. Boards with AMD CPUs use that.
I'm sure that boards with Intel CPUs supports only UDMA 100. ( with IDE harddisks)

From what I remember it should work, but if it's udma100 it just won't use the full bandwidth of the hard disk.

Yes that is true. They should compatible. But it would run with udma 100 instead of 133. But there isn't a big different, IMO.
