Autobrightness - I've had enough

I've posted this before but got no replies. Sony VAIO monitors have the silly autobrightness feature that adjusts the luminacy of the screen according to how much light is been shined on it. I don't like this as it makes the screen flicker and the brightness is insufficient in sunlight, and I can't figure out how to increase it. Even if i press Fn then F6 the brightness says it is at max, but if i juggle the screen it can get much brighter. you must be able to knock autobrightness off, i mena come on, i payed £1200 for my damn FS115S why should it tell me how bright i want the screen, I PAYED FOR IT- GIVE ME CONTROL!!

Please help me find a solution.

I think I have a solution for you buddy.
I was actually thinking before even reading this and suddenly came across this...
Go on your desktop, right-click and select properties, then screen saver, then power and then VAIO Power Management, where you can manually adjust level of your LCD brightness. It worked for me, the other thing (under control panel) didn't!

Hope this will help!
