Blue Screen of Death

My laptop has crashed and the ms knowledge base tells me to access the Recovery Console saying "Start your computer from the windows XP CD-ROM....then select Repair or Recover"

How can I do this when my PC will not boot up? Once the windows screen appears the pc crashes and the BSOD appears.

Can anyone advise please

You can insert and run the Vaio Recovery Tool to return your laptop to the factory settings or alternatively press F10 at system start, that is if Your computer has the recovery partition on the hard disk.
