CAN I CHANGE MY PROCESSOR ? M730 1.6GHZ TO M760 2.0 GHZ

CAN ANY ONE HELP. I HAVE A VGN-S4M WITH A 1.6GHZ M730 PROCESSOR AND WANT TO CHANGE IT TO THE M760 2.0GHZ. CAN IT BE DONE ? IF SO HOW. I CAN GET THE M760 FOR £250 NOT A PROB. BUT WILL IT WORK WITH MOTHER BOARD AND BIOS ?

Thanks for that guys. But when you say not 100% com. What % is not com. ? To change the processor is a five min. job.

they mean that other hardware may not be compatible with the processor

There's nothing to worry about in terms of compatibilty but it may not be a simple job. Is the processor in a socket or is it soldered directly to the motherboard?

If it is soldered directly to the motherboard than it's best to forget the idea.
