cd drive

for a couple of days sometimes when i try to open the cd drive it doesnt open and makes funny noise cause its trying to open but doesnt.........is it normal(i dont think so). could it be hasrdware problem or something related to heat or something?
anyone else had this problem?:smileysad:

No it's not normal.

If you want to get the media out use a pin in the little hole.

Once you've done that check nothing is blocking the rails which the drive moves along to close.

yeah... i thougt it wasnt normal......probably taking it back to sony next week.
problem is it doesnt do it all the time and im afraid if i take it there and it works properly at the current time they will send me away!

Maybe it's the media catching?
Some people have said it makes a terrible racket when the disk is slightly bent
