Clie UX50 ' Hot Sync'

I have had the above UX50 for two weeks now and despite trying to 'Hot Sync' on two different PC's (one of which is a Sony) I cannot get the Clie to link up. When I press the hot sync button I get a message "never syncronised". I have installed the Palm software on both PC's but I am at a loss as to the problem. Can anyone help.

On an previous message I was asking about the possibility of downloading music onto the purple memory sticks. Kee Lo had kindly replied saying I would need to use memory stick with the 'Magic Gate' technology. On further research I have discovered that you can download music to the purple sticks in MP3 format it is only if you are using the Attrac3 format that you need Magic gate.

Your synch issue may be because you have plugged the USB cable into a hub and not directly to a port. You MUST do the first synch directly to the USB connection.

MP3 files can be used on ANY memory stick - including the Pro, but ATRAC in any flavour needs to be on MagiGate media. Just be careful to out the MP3 files in the correct sub-directory
