Display dim

I have a PCG-GRX616MP the battery went very low (I usually only use mains), anyway I plugged it in, but now the disply seems stuck in battery mode - the once bright display under mains power has gone.

How do I get the bright display back?

Hi and welcome to Club Vaio.

Right click the battery icon in the system tray and under Profiles left click on AC Power. The change should be instantaneous.
