I want to use my external hard drive as a network drive so i can access the files on it from anywhere in the house. Save me having to get it and plugging it into my laptop every time i want to access the files.
My problem is that my BT Home Hub only supports FAT32 and my hard drive is formatted in NTFS. Anyone got any suggestions to get round this problem?
FAT32 isn't that good is it?
Not very easy to convert from NTFS to FAT32?
Its a 320GB Hard Drive with movies, music and softare on. Also my backups are done to it.
Thanks
A NAS is probably a better route with a router, then the Home Hub can pick it up.
I really can't believe that it only understands FAT32, as it's limited to 32GB. Unless you have a Mac and can format it - it's not possible in XP/Vista.
