Fan noise in VGN-BX197XP

The fan in my new VGN-BX197XP turns on and off every 4 seconds. Because of this I can't work normally, it's very disturbing. And Sony classifies this notebook as "business class"!?
I see this as a material defect (ger. Sachmangel).
Does anybody have similar problems?

I updated my BIOS to R0160X5 already and unfortunately the fan still does not work properly.

A number of members have reported this same problem. I suggest that you open a case with Sony Support.

Sony Published an important BX Bios update in November which may help (if your machine was not shipped with it).
