I recently formatted my Sony Vaio VGN FS415m and installed Windows Media Centre Edtion 2005 as I prefare the newer theme and naturally I use Media Centre for my TV/DVD.
Obviously from performing a full format I lost all the Sony Vaio recovery data but that isnt a major issue as I downloaded all the relevant software and drivers from the Sony Vaio support download page.
After installing all the drivers and utilities I found that everything is working 100% including all the Fn, F2-F3-F4 etc buttons... The only problem is that the MagicGate memory card reader icon has decided not to show and not even the standard Windows removable disc icon is in place... It is just a broken file icon/no extension icon.
Has anyone encounted this before, I know its reasonably trivial but Id like to see if it can be fixed first before I give up and accept the file for its new not so great look!
