How to prolong lithium-based batteries

http://www.batteryuniversity.com/parttwo-34.htm

Found this interesting article and thought it might be of interest. It's a bit long and technical but it has some good tips to get the most out of your battery.

lol, na just happend to find the page when searching google.com for info about my minidisc. I understand why the battery on my laptop runs out so quickly after charging it for long periods of time.

Basically, recharge regularly from no less than 20%.(and always to 100%)
Once in 30 recharges you can run it down slowly to get more accurate readings.
I get around 4hours and 10 minutes of regular use with screen at 50% on my VX71P.

hi,

what about the memory effect... best charging capacity, if fully discharged... recharging at minimum of 20% is supposed to reproduce the memory effect... even on the new lithiums...

i think every battery is an individual in need of proper training...with no garantee to what the outcome is....
