Lazy Creative USB Mouse

Hello,
I have a Vaio VNG-A197VP, and I bought a Creative Optical 3000 USB Mouse. The thing is after installing the software related to the mouse it moved for about 2m and then just died.
Although the buttons are working perfectly it simply does not move. If i mess arround with the drivers i can get it to work for about 2m 😞
I already installed it on another notebook it works fine.
So can anyone help

Go to the creative website and download their latest drivers.
