Local Hard disc drives

I've got a vaio PCG-V505BP notebook 40GB. The hard drive local drive (C:) is almost full but the local drive (D:) is empty i.e each drive has 20 GB on each. How can I start using the empty drive & can I transfer programmes from the full disc to the empty disc. If so can you advise how this is done.
Many thanks

Joop,

if you install a program you must change the path from C on D
........for the beginning push the own files onto D

Welcome to Club Vaio 7074.
Transferring programmes is not a good idea as you will need to uninstall and then reinstall otherwise they will fail to load. You can however move you¿re My Documents folder to the D drive quite easily. In Windows Explorer right click the folder > properties > move and chose 😧 This should free up a lot of space on your C drive.
