I have a PCG-415M and I wanted to upgrade my memory to 1Gb which is indicated as being possible on this laptop. I bought two banks of 512Mb PC2100 each (same as the ones comming out.. but those where 256Mb), put them in and they come up in XP as 448 Mb. When I put one in it shows 192Mb. The Bios is the part where it goes wrong because the Ram shows the wrong numbers there as well. I've looked (and hoped) for a Bios update, but none are available.
Anyone there to point me in the right direction? (I've checked the memory in another laptop and they are fine). Thanks!
