MOTION EYE NOT WORKING!!!

Hey peeps
i purchased my vaio pcg-tr1mp in november at john lewis, about 2 months ago, i realised my motion eye camera had stopped working, so i went onto a google search and many people have the same problem, apparently the camera's chipset dies from a voltage surge, im just wondering if sony will do anything about this as it is not really a user fault, any body else have the same problem? HELP LOL!!!:smileycry:

As you bought the computer from John Lewis, you should have a two year warranty from them. If the age of the computer is less than this then the warranty should cover it.

If your assumption is correct then Sony will be happy to fix it for a price if it is out of warranty.

If you have a look around there you will find many solutions for a non working motion eye.

Now, before we start panicking, wasn't this fixed by turning off sleep mode on the USB?
