That's more or less the best way you can do it. If you need the software package on the original CD (Norton etc.) then I believe there is a way to get them to install without XP Home as well but I haven't tried it so someone else will have to help you out there. One or two people have found a few little problems like some Fn functions not working but aside from the inconvenience it seems to work ok.

I think Sony should offer different packages with Home and Pro.

Everyone seems to only want XP Professional so maybe the best solution would be for Sony to supply all of their PC's with Pro .:smileygrin:

They're not cheap those VAIOs thats for sure.
Now if they could sneak me a RA104.... for lets say £999????
