Hallo! Habe riesen Problem.
Was tun? Wäre sehr froh wenn jemand eine Idee hätte. Oder bin ich nun doch gezwungen das interne Laufwerk zu tauschen? Vielen Dank schon mal.
Welcome to Club Vaio hewi.
I regret that my command of your language is not good enough to reply in German.
However, if you have an internal floppy drive (I am not sure whether your model does) you can use a DOS boot disk that includes USB support. This will then allow you to restore your system from the USB CD drive.
I hope that this helps.
mmmh, that's very interesting Rich. How can I get this? My PCG-FR has a internal Floppy drive too.
(do you speak english, hewi?)

Hi Richard!
Your answer is really great. Thank you very much for your help. I have an internal floppy drive und hope I can manage to make a DOS boot disk with USB support.
You are welcome, hewi.

Hi Richard!
I tried to create different DOS boot disk's that supports my USB Drive PlexWriter 40/12/40A - but without any chance at all. I am very disappointed about that. In the meantime I got a new Problem because I can not start my PCG-F801A (Win Me) After Login Procedure nothing happens - only an empty Sreen ist shown. I d'ont know what to do.
Hope you can help me. Thank you!
