I have a FX501 about 30 months old. Recently the screen started going very faint and ulimately completely black. Looked around the net and general view was ' inverter problem'. Took it to my local repair shop - confirmed as inverter failure but couldn't find the part anywhere (!). Reclaimed machine from shop today, took screen apart to find inverter product code and reassemled - powered on and all is OK. Downloaded latest ATI driver, all is now OK. Anybody any thoughts?
