I bought Sony Vaio mp3 player with 40gb hard. When i addend new song fist time it worked fantastic. But now when i am trying to trasfer new songs it writes -->> An error occurred while conversion.Unknown error occurred-->> and now i cant trasfer new songs. Anybody who nows what happens plz help me. 😞
Hi all how's it goin?
I have exactly the same problem - on the day I purchased mine I uploaded 1000 tracks no problem and when I went to add more the next day I got the same message. It's really frustrating. I re installed the software and tried disconnecting and reconnecting the device but to no avail 😞
Any suggestions would be most welcome thanks
I have now installed all available updates including the latest firmware and guess what.........Now it won't even recognise that the device is plugged in. This is my first experience of owning a piece of VAIO kit and It's got me feeling like throwing the thing through a window............................
Try to install the latest SonicStage version (3.4). May be the problem is not in the VP and it is in SS.
Regards.
the same thing happened to me... at first i could transfer tracks without any problems, then one day my pc decided not to let me anymore - i installed firmware & sonicstage updates and it all seemed to start working again for a day or so, but now it refuses to do anything unless i delete all my existing tracks.... but i don't want to! the player works fine when playing on its own, i'm using less than half the memory space, the rest of my computer recognises it and the device manager says it's working fine, but after reinstalling the driver and programs roughly 57 million times sonicstage and music transfer refuse to work with it because it's not recognised.... somebody help, im on a fast track to lung cancer here.....
Well I'm still unable to upload tracks or even to have my PC recognise the f**king thing. I'm so fed up - I mean what's the use of having this piece of crap if I can't put any tracks on it? I am so disappointed.......................
This is an old problem which a lot of people have suffered with, try to do a search on this forum as I can't remember the answer at the mo, the post will be about a year old!!
I has happened to me, I'm sure that you had to re-initialise the player to pair it back up with your PC, it seems scary as it looks like you will lose all of the tracks you initially had installed, but you don't.
I'll have a search around and try to post the link.
BTW, I haven't been on here for a while, so I'm going through the posts to try and help the people who are suffering from the same things I was over a year ago.
