Port on the bottom of my VGN-S1HP

Could anyone tell me what the unmarked port with the plastic slide cover on the bottom of my Vaio notebook is for?

Is it for non-Sony memory expansions that wont fit in the screw off compartment that is also on the bottom?

Hi Pete,

that's for the port replicator/docking station and is described on p69 of the hardware pdf manual, (at least that's what mine says!). So it's not for memory expansions, Sony approved or otherwise - bummer!
