Problem with media centre

Hi all. I bought sony-FE11S some 3 months back. I have a problem with media centre. I coulnot watch DVD and couldnot write any DVDs in media centre. Today restarted the system thrice when i started DVD in media centre. I'm worried a lot(£1300!!!!). Is there any drivers to install to update. ?Please
could anyone advice regarding this.

There are updates for your Optical Drive and Video - but they are dated March and April 2006 HERE.

Have you tried going to Start>All Programs>Vaio Update 2>VAIO Web Support ? This will identify which updates your Vaio needs.
