SR11K Hard Drive Upgrade

Hello!

I would like to know itf i can use a 2,5" 20GB Hitachi C4K40 Hard Drive with my SR11K.
Are there any compatibility problems with new or other HD's or is there a listing
availiable with compatible HD's?

Hi there,

I have a PCG-SR1K , 9 GB and I took out this hard drive and put a brand new 40 GB in, it works like a charm.

infact, I had a feeling that it runs faster than before ( I also upgrade memory from 64 MB to 128 MB ).

My 40 GB Hard drive is Fujitsu. But I beleive as long as it's notebook 2.5" HDD is fine.

Anyway, we have to accept the fact that it's risky to upgrade by yourself as there is no warranty from Sony.

well, it's a pity that sony does not provide hd upgrade infos.
for ram upgrade they do...

well, i think i'll have to find out by myself .

SONY's opinion is... if you want to upgrade... they want you to buy what they offer at twice the price,or preferable you buy a new sony notebook... in other words.... "bend over".... i used to be fan of sony's... but boy has that changed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
