Switch of boot sound (S1XP)

Hello!

Is there any posibility to switch off the boot sound of the Sony VGN S1XP ?
I use my notebook in school and my teacher don't like the sound you can hear, everytime you switch on the notebook!

I believe you can do this in the Control Panel. Go to Sony Notebook Setup and click on the tab Initial Setting.

At the very bottom, there's a slider which you may drag all the way to the left to turn off the sound completely.
