T2XP battery meter in taskbar

Hi...

The icon that shows you how much battery power you have left has suddenly vanished. On entering VAIO Power mangement options and selecting "Always show icon" this doesn't cure it. Any clues?

Win XP has a history of vanishing icons in the system tray. Does this still happen after re-booting?
If this has happened recently and is constant on every boot, I suggest that you try a windows system restore to a date prior to this problem.

Re-booting doesn't help. In the toolbar customizing options, it's listed as a "past item". Any idea how I can make it a current item? The 5 icons on display are all under "Current items".
