TomTom Go 300 USB to Vaio

Hi - I was under the impression that when you connected a TomTom Go to a PC/laptop with USB, that the laptop should recognise the TomTom and see it as an external/removeable drive.

When I plug mine in absolutely nothing happens - no popups on the Vaio, nothing.

Has anybody done this, should I be doing something else?

Hi,

I'm not 100% sure what should happen with the TomTom connected to a computer but you can try going to the controlo panel and clicking on add new hardware and see if it recognises it. Thats the best I can offer I'm affraid if it doesn't automatically find it or it doesn't automatically appear under my computer as a removable drive.

I was under the impression you only connected to USB for upadting off CD?
