Hi,
I can't get the TV out hotkey to work. When I plug in my TV, the computer detects it and adds it to the "menu" brought up by pressing Fn+F7 on my A series.
However, changing from LCD to TV or anything like that doesn't do anything. I have to go into options in order to get it working. How can I make the Fn+F7 keys work?
This is a bit of a long shot - especially as I don't have the A-Series, but you could try reinstalling the utility software.
In C:\UTILS you will find the UTILS.EXE file. Run UTILS.EXE and when prompted by Windows, restart your computer.
The utils.exe program should solve this one...
Don't think so. Utils work just fine. I just have to somehow associate the hotkey with the graphics card.
If you struggle, then ring Sony support (VAIO-Link) by finding the Contact Us link for a phone number. Ask them for advice.
its not just for the A series, my K115Z has the same, but it works perfect, if the utils thing dont work, maybe its an hardware failure, your using the XP edition you got from Sony?
I have a K215S I had similar problems, downloaded the latest driver from the sony site and used the TV monitor switch option on the ATI driver (change setting on the new driver), speak to Vaio support, theyre v.good however may take some time to answer.
