Vaio K215S has P4 2,8C yet no HT, why?

why have sony decided to use a P4 2.8C which supports hyperthreading, but have decided not to take advantage of it?, HT would give the laptop a fair boost in performance over a no HT CPU.
*puzzled look*

The processor has that ability, although it may not be enabled. For all I know it is enabled on my processor, although you would think there would be a mention of it somewhere. I have no experience with it, so I'm not sure what the signs are of it being used.

What does it do Exactly TT?

It's for increased perfomance when you need it, basically. How good it actually is I don't know, but I have no options for it on my computer, nor do I have any mention of it.

Aha. Thanks TT

HT or hyperthreading means you can encode a movie from a DV cam while playing games.

It just shares the jobs.
