Vaio Pocket & Sonic Stage 3.1

I recently upgraded sonicstage from 2.3 to 3.1 cause my brother purchased a sony net md now my vaio pocket will not sink with sonicstage, how can i resolve this????

You could always just uninstall 3.1 and then reinstall 2.3.The only major differences between the two are that in 3.1 you can rip cd's in mp3 and it takes longer to import songs.

What so when you connect your VP to your computer it says it is a clie?

the message reads "The connected ATRAC audio device must be initialized to be used with the currently installed Sonicstage"

With your player connected to your pc, and sonicstage open, go to the transfer window then select; controls - device/media - initialize. This is needed in 3.1 to establish a connection between your vp and sonicstage. Just to warn you, I had to follow this procedure 3 or 4 times before it worked, but I've had no problems whatsoever since!

this will delete all the data on my vp and i already have over 5000 tracks on it, what are the benifits of 3.1 over 2.3 because if their is no real benifit to me i will revert back to 2.3.

In 3.1 you can rip cd's in mp3 and it is harder to transfer songs to your library although sony claims it is easier you may aswell reinstall 2.3 it looks better to in my oppinion.
