OK, i am having problems getting my Vaio to connect properly with the Belkin Wireless ADSL Router i bought yesterday. All are UK bought from Dixons.
When i broadcast the SSID of the Belkin and don't use WEP, the Vaio picks up the router no problem and i can surf the net wirelessly. The minute i disbale broadcasting the SSID, my Vaio looses the connection and won't get it back.
Likewise, when i enable either 64bit or 128bit WEP on the Belkin, i go to put in the WEP settings on the Vaio and it gives some stupid error about it only accepting 40bit or 104bit encryption keys.
Can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong?
How can i get the Vaio to connect to the Belkin with broadcasting my SSID to everyone in a 250 foot radius?
You should keep the SSID broadcast ON. In fact the link below from google ought to help you out.

EDIT: You can skip over task 2 as your system probably has integrated WLAN.

I use Vaio A115S and Belkin F5D7230-4.
SSID Broadcast is disabled and 128 Bit WEP encryption is enabled.
Be sure your Belkin has the latest firmware. I guess it is rev 3.
