Hi, I bought my laptop about a year ago, and with Vista in mind chose a laptop which was well within the required specifications. However...
- Sony do not seem to provide ANY drivers whatsoever for vista on the support site for my laptop! (not even on their vista upgrade site)
- Whenever I close the lid of my laptop in Vista (it is set up to do nothing), the screen turns off and will not turn back on unless power off by holding down the power button.
- It appears my memory stick reader will not work with vista (it is a Texas Instruments PCI 7420 Integrated Flash Media Controller) - Anyone know where to find drivers?
- Vaio Update does not work in Vista, (I have version 3.0.00.13220) - when it loads it says my machine is either not supported by VAIO update or does not have active X controls installed.
So now i'm left with a machine which barely functions and a useless £140 vista disk, yay.
Lastly, and most annoyingly the trackpad has failed (for the second time since I've bought the laptop) so it will have to go back to Sony again, which if anything like last time will take over a month to fix . Overall... NOT IMPRESSED
