Hi all i have a Sony Vaio PCV-RZ422P, and ive been thinking to add a HDD to it but i am not really sure which one 2 get. I have checked in side the cpu and can see i have a place where i can put a extra hdd, but can any one tell me a good hdd that will also be compatible with my Sony Vaio PCV-RZ422P - As i heard a lot of rumours that say some hdds dont work sonys os
The rumours are untrue. You should be able to use virtually any hard disk which uses the same interface as your existing drive.
There are some BIOS limitions - these are detailed at http://www.seagate.com/support/kb/disc/bioslmt.html - most of these won't affect your computer as it is pretty new.
I prefer Maxtor and WD.
hi i was wondering ive seen the new 10000 rpm hdd and was wondering would it be compatable with my pc?
here is a list of 3 that i am planing 2 get:
1) Western Digital Rapto 74GB/SATA 150
2) Maxtor MaxLine 3 250GB/SATA 150
3) Maxtor MaxLine 3 300GB/SATA150
Can u please tell me which is the best one
They are all good, the choice comes down to size rquired and how much money you want to spend.

Kee-Lo,
Just looked at your link and I don't know where I have been but I didn't realise 300Gb of storage was so cheap.

I can't find your machine on the site...
I don't think it does though but you can get a PCI card *if you have a free slot in there)
