just a thought, if my hard disk breaks down (touch wood) if i replace how can reinstall the operating system. my has windows xp home and comes with recovery disks. can i use these disks to reinstall the os?? 
yay i now have 512 mb ddr ram. added 256 more yay, windows xp is faster 
but if my hard drive breaks down (touch wood) and i replace it with a new one. do i need to format it first or will the recovery discs do it all for me?? i dont to buy windows xp home!
