Is there a (dare I say it!) an iPod type lead for the VP so that I can play from the jack plug in the car?

If you have an old stereo you can use a cassette adapter

There were many posts on this at the beginning of the year with many people reporting that the Belkin FM transmitter was good for transmitting the signal to the stereo without wires.

I keep meaning to buy one (have to import from US, as illegal in UK), though concerned that as I can't see it until I buy it that it might just be creating more problems by having something else to have to charge batteries for, etc, etc.

Anyone else use this method?

If you get a cable with a 10mm jack plug at each end you should be able to do it.
