How much does it Cost to repair the broken screen of the Sony Xperia Z4 tablet, waterproof?
Hi @DeadCat, no problem at all!
The service centre will provide a warranty for the repair that they have done (90 days here in the Nordics where I'm situated), if the warranty on the device that was repaired has run out, other wise the normal warranty that we provide will still be valid.
Be glad you live in the UK, Sony USA tells me they do not repair Sony tablets PERIOD. And no local shop can get parts. So I own a device I cannot get fixed! This surely is my last Sony product of any kind. I'm properly gutted.
Hi @stogie5150, very sorry to hear about this.
What is their reasoning behind this? If they gave you one that is.
I'm not very familiar with the service routines in the US as I'm situated in the Nordics and since the service routines varies between markets, it's most likely different in the US.
I did finally get in touch with someone via email support, but so far all they have asked for is my name ,phone number, and the model of the tablet. The online chat represenative is the one that told me there is no repair service in the US, We will see what happens.
I bought this tablet on Amazon brand new when it first came out. I live in the United States and after eight months my screen cracked on the bottom left hand side, completely on it's own. Since then, I am not able to get it repaired in the US and am left having to use it with a bluetooth mouse and keyboard. This has been my last Sony product. Very disappointed that this is a widespread known issue that they refuse to address.
I got mine at Amazon 2 years ago. I dropped it and to get it fixed I was quoted $400. For my future tablet/phone purchases I'm going to have to consider how fragile the devices are and how common parts to repair them would be.
Accidentally my Z4 hit the asphalt, rough and hard asphalt. Well, it broke the corner but that made a crack that went through the screen diagonally. Well, no touch works anymore I'm trying to get a quote. I'll let you know what happens.
Hi @CharlesJ, sorry to hear about what has happened.
Keep in mind that the cost may vary depending on market/region, so the cost for performing the repairing in your market, may differ from another market.
I hope the repair goes smoothly so you can use your Xperia Z4 Tablet soon again!
Thank you for the best wishes. So far, the Sony representatives have sent from Dominican Republic, Colombia and finally Puerto Rico with no success. They provided me a name and address from a company in PR that should be able to repair my tablet but not even a phone number. I managed to get a number but they're not repairing Sony devices yet. At least, not from individuals. So then, I'm stuck
