VGN-NW20EF @ key not working properly

I cannot find an appropriate board on which to post this message as there seems to be nothing for laptops.

I have a VGN-NW20EF laptop and the @ key does not work with the Right-shift.

Everything else works with the Right-shift, and the @ key works with the Left-shift.

I have uninstalled the keyboard driver and re-booted, upon which the driver has been re-installed, without any change.

Has anybody got any ideas how I can get it working with the Right-shift?

If you read the rest of this post trail you would see that I did not see the correct forum to post it on, but have been told the correct location and I subsequently posted in on there.
