Change alarm ring tone

I am not able to change the alarm ring tone to a song of my choice in Sony Xperia L. I have tried the advanced alarm setting /style setting/add new alarm style. however it doesnot let me to set style and change the ring tone.

I don't have this phone so it might be different but on other Xperias is 

Alarm app > select an alarm > Alarm sound > tap on the music icon or just select a tune on the list

I had the same problem.

Try turning the power off and on again.

It worked for me.

Just remove preseted alarms. Then try to set new alarm.
