Froyo (Version 2.2) possible - Informationmanagement by Sony Ericsson

Dear all,

it is not easy to find something about an SE Android device and its capability or readiness for Android version.

Is there any announcement for it available, specially for the X8 and Froyo.

Further more: is any mobile device from SE able to use Froyo, and if so which are the ones?

Hello, currenly the Sony Ericsso Xperia x8 runs on the Android 1.6 OS but will recieve an upgrade to Android 2.1 over the next few weeks hopefully but nothing has been said about Android 2.2 as of yet.

Ok, thanks. But this information I already have. That was the starting point of my question. What is the informationmanagemet by Sony Ericsson about Version 2.2? To say nothing means imho that there is no confident in the development or support of sold devices.

Who can answer this question if not Sony Ericsson? Or am I wrong here?

I don't think that any cell phone provider would publish the information before they have a very clear roadmap which Sony Ericsson do not have at this moment in time.
