Memory Card Won't read

Hi!

I just bought the Sony Ericsson Xperia x10 Mini Pro. I have a problem with the memory stick. It says it's connected and everything, but it also says it's empty. Main point being; i can't get the memory stick to work.
I use  the default memory stick (2GB), the one that came with the phone.

I need help as soon as possible.
Thank you

Hi,

You've put files on the memory card but can't see them? Are you unable to save pictures? What doesn't work exactly?

Let me know. I'm a bit unclear as to what is happening.

Thank you for replying so soon:smileyhappy:

I've inserted the memory stick and it reads, but it says the memory stick is empty and there's a memory stick with a red cross in the top left corner of the screen. When I try to take pictures it says I have to insert a memory stick. It's like the memory stick is broken or something. I've tried two different memory sticks and everything, but the same happends with both of them Thinking_Face

Hi,

If you've tried two memory sticks that both don't work, you have two potential problems:

1) Software: Since the phone recognizes SOMETHING is plugged, its possibly a software issue. Run PC Companion Phone Repair option (http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/softwaredownloads/detailed/pccompanion/xperiax10minipro?cc=g...) and test it again.

2) Hardware: You should either return to your dealer, or contact your local Sony Ericsson office to check on warranty/exchange/repair options (http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/corporate/common/contact/phonelist)

Did you try some other memory card or use a crad reader to make sure that the problem is not with the memory card. Try to remove and reinsert teh memory card and try again. Keep us informed. You will be helped.

HI

I appeared to be having the same problem, so removed the card and pushed it in and out a couple of times then refitted it.  It seems to be working now.
