messaging service crashes

hey hey

I'll be sending or reading a recieved text or reading through some old ones, and the messgaing service will crash, i'll then open handcent and the same thing will happen. it will come up with the message "the application has stopped unexpectedly.please try again" with options force close or wait, i'll select force close, re-open it and it comes up again. its really fustrating!

Hi hp91,

Does this only happen with Handcent SMS or with the standard messaging app as well?

I use Handcent SMS in my Xperia X10 and I have also experience some issues with this app but never with the statndard app. Mostly Handcent SMS work fine though.

I recommend you try to restart your phone and/or update the software in the phone if this issue persist.
You can update the phone via Update Service, www.sonyericsson.com/updateservice
