messaging service crashes

hey hey

I'll be sending or reading a recieved text or reading through some old ones, and the messgaing service will crash, i'll then open handcent and the same thing will happen. it will come up with the message "the application has stopped unexpectedly.please try again" with options force close or wait, i'll select force close, re-open it and it comes up again. its really fustrating!

I noticed your post hasn't had any responses so I'm here to help.

From what you have described, I would suggest running a repair on the handset to see if this resolves the issues. This can be done by following the steps below on a PC with access to the Internet.

1. Go to: http://bit.ly/bimURs and download the PC Companion software.

2. Once installed, select Support Zone.

3. Select Software Updates.

4. Select Repair.

5. Follow the On-Screen instructions.

before being able to update it, i have to make a backup of contatcs,messgaes,settings etc, and im not too sure how to do that lol

oh ! iv found the app for it, but it says "no memory card found"

go to

Settings -> SD card & Phone storage -> check if under Total Space or Available space has any info,

if not then its probably unmounted and you need to turn off your phone -> take the battery out -> take the SD Card out -> put it back in both SD card then battery -> turn on your phone and repeat
