I just got the X10 not long ago. Literally only a week ago to be honest. I could have sworn I saw the playnow service on there when I first booted it up. I performed an update like I was told by my provider (Rogers here in Canada) and it said there were no new updates. But when I looked just the other day the Playnow icon is missing from the Application folder....
I have searched through the net and came across this site http://talk.sonyericsson.com/message/4584 which describes others loosing the Icon as well. I've walked through it and I'm not finding it.
The last post suggests going to http://m.sonyericsson.com/sam-resetplaynow through the mobile browser on the phone. What I get is a message from the sony ericsson site stating that the page has been moved or no longer exists.
Is there a way to get this service back without unlocking my phone? I'll unlock it if I have to, but I really hope its not necessary.

go to
Settings - > Applications -> Manage Applications -> Play Now
Clear data
Clear Cache
now if you can't find Play Now let me know

Very odd.
I'm not seeing it at all within Settings - > Applications -> Manage Applications ->
....
I've followed that information about using the file manager. The closest ap that I could see in there was Playnowarena_updater.apk
I'm not seeing any other Playnow apps within the system/app folder

Your country may not be supporting playnow. Did you purchase the phone from someother country other than where you are residing now?
