MOBILE OVERHEATING IN WCDMA MODE

I USING XPERIA ION LTE MODEL .PROBLEM IF I SWITCH ON WCDMA MODE JUST 5 MINUTES BROWSE SOMETHING THEN MY MOBILE BECOME OVER HEAT . WHAT IS THE PROBLEM. IF I USE WIFI MODE NOTHING PROBLEM.  THIS IS MOBILE PROBLEM OR OTHER?

ANY BODY GIVE ME A SOLUTION TO ME.

If you're running on the latest version of the software I suggest that you contact your local support team to have this examined at an repair center.

Am also facing the same issue with my ion. My friends are telling that i can use my ion as ironbox. That much heat it is producing only y ion is in wcdma mode. Why it is happening. Can you pls provide me the permitted battery temp . so that i can chek my battery temp at overheating time and i will inform you about that temp range. Actually am getting little bit scare about radiation. But am trusting sony . Bcoz sony never fails...

Mine too, when I turn on 3G to browsing internet, it's drain my battery and become overheat. It's really hot. But when I use Wifi to browsing, it's not anymore. So weird!!!

I read somewhere that it's like that with Snapdragon S3.

Along with the overheating, My ion hangs up, becomes unresponsive (ultimately restarts) when I try updating any app/ download any app from the store, Please Help.

Try to repair phone software with sony update service or pc companion.There could be apps acting up.If the phone still overheats after the repair,take it to sony service.

My phone is up to date and heating issue is minor for me, But the major thing is it becomes unresponsive when i use it on "WCDMA Only" mode, I am going to show it at a service center tomorrow.

I just did want to know if any one else is also facing the same problem??

Steps to Check:

Step 1: From Settings -> More.. -> Mobile Networks ->Network Mode -> select "WCDMA only"

Step 2: Install any app from the "Play Store" 

Check opening settings/ other apps while the download is in progress, (ITS Un RESPONSIVE)
