Notification Ringtone

Hi guys,

Im a UK Xperia user (Orange is my provider); Can i assign my own personal ringtones to Text messages or am i stuck with the defaults on the phone ? I cant find a way of assigning personal music files to text messages, only ringtones.

Any help gratefully received!

If you havehandcent sms then tap the app to open it, then press the menu button (left key) and tap settings>notification settings> tap notifications to enable it then tap notification settings and set it all up from there,

when you tap notifications sound you will have 2 options Android System or Select Music, tap select music and find the tuse you want to use.

Only thing is it will look for music in yout music folder on your SD card so put your music in that folder

Creating a notification folder on my SD card has done the trick ! Thanks V much everyone for your help, got there in the end!
