Problem with xperia j - turns on and off without loading properly

I have had my phone since around april/may time of this year. Approximately 2days ago my phone stopped working properly. When i try to turn the phone on it will load up until the screen that shows my phone networks name then it shuts itself off again. It then continues to try loading itself by doing the same thing. The phone turns on and off continually until i take the battery out, as this is the only way i can get it to stop.

Today when i was trying to charge the phone in order to do update through the pc companion software the phone will now no longer charge. Is there a problem with the phone software or is the phone completely broken?

Do you charge via wall socket or computer? I suggest wall socket. Also if possible try another charger/cable.

Do you know if you get the same boot loop problem if you remove the SIM card?

I charge through the wall socket. I have however managed to get my phone to charge but I am still getting the same on off problem with the phone not loading properly.

I have tried taking out the media card in case it was corrupt and this proved not to be the problem.
I then tried to load the phone without the sim card and again same problem with the phone not loading and turning itself on and off simultaneously.

In that case check if you're able to run a reinstall via SUS.
