Problems with setting hotmail at X10/ Problems with loading hotmail log-in page while browsing

Hi,

I need some help.

I've tried to set up my hotmail account on my Sony Ericcson X10, but it's not working.

I've used the server settings provided on the WINDOWS LIVE SOLUTIONS CENTRE-WINDOWS LIVE HELP website:

POP3 server: pop3.live.com, port 995, SSL
SMTP Server: smtp. live.com , port 25, SSL

and used my regular hotmail email/username and password but the note an the screen appeared saying "Setup could not finish".

Additionally, while browsing the internet on my mobile I'm not able to log in to my hotmail account-hotmail login website doesn't work. I can open any other websites without a problem.



I would really appreciate if you could help me as I don't know what else should I do.

I'm using my hotmail account every 2-3 hours every day and I've got to have an access to it!!!!

For your SMTP server details change the Port number from 25 to 587 and the Encryption from SSL to TLS.Authentication is the same as POP3.The pop3 settings are fine and don't forget to use your whole email address as your username every time.

These are settings I got on my W995 from the set-up wizard and they work fine.

I have also found that the Hotmail login doesn't work over Wi-Fi,only over the mobile network.Hope this helps.
