i found programm which can easily root my xperia sl . but can you tell me , why must i do it , and why musnt ? also can you tell me , can i download apps form play store when my phone is rooted ?
If your device is rooted,you might lose warranty if there is still any. You should still be able to install apps,even those that require a rooted device,giving you access to system applications.
Basically if you are rooted you can install Titanium backup and uninstall those apps that you never were able to remove like Maps etc, That app is also good at backing up apps and the data from it which if you transfer the saved files to another phone running Titanium backup then you can restore the app and data and it would carry on from where it left off on your other phone
