IMHO white date numbers on white background of Sony calendar widget looks strange at least and it should be updated with bugfix. Sony Xperia ZL 4.2.2 (10.3.A.0.423)
Could you please send me your details in a PM, and I will forward this.

Same here. White text on an almost white background.Sony should do something about this fast. The bad viewing angles on this phone is bad enough.
I thank you for sharing your feedback about this but this will unfortunately not be changed for Xperia Z/ZL/ZR. We will however keep this in mind for the future.
That's disappointing.
Surely an option to revert to the dark colour scheme found in Settings, couldn't be imprelemented in a future update?
The change in the current UI from dark colour scheme (i.e. Calculator, Alarm & clock, etc) to bright (Messaging, Calendar. Email) is a real eyesore on an otherwise Slick, and Colour co-ordinated UI.
Having no options to change it, or even the option to make it adapt to lighting conditions, makes an otherwise customisable smartphone, clumsy and inconsistent from the polish and style we expect from Sony.
Hello!
My phone is Xperia ZL (firmware 10.3.1.A.0.244).
I have the same problem - white text on the light gray background in Calendar widget (version 10.3.A.0.0).
The widget is looks bad:
I use Emerald theme (version 10.0.A.0.16), but problem exists on all preinstalled themes.
As a temporary solution I disabled Calendar and installed Google Calendar and added its widget. This widget looks better, but it does not fit xperia themes:
So developers, please fix this problem.
I do not understand why "this will unfortunately not be changed for Xperia Z/ZL/ZR".
Calendar is preinstalled application, it must be polished and usable.
Is it so difficult to change colors? I do not ask you to write specific rare use Linux kernel driver or something harder. IMHO I (and others in this topic) ask trivial change.
You (Sony) made a great device, please do not forget to keep its software updated and usable.
