Software update Camera issue Sony Xperia Z1?

Dear...

3 months ago i ordered a Sony Xperia Z1. 

Since 2 months ago i have a problem with the camera it says : camera not available.

I went back to the store were i bought it. They told me that Sony was working on a software update that would solve the camera problem.

Is there soon any software update for the camera of Sony Xperia Z1? i also have the new update version. I have this problem now for already like 2 months and im still waiting for a update.

Yes it does, after i restart my Phone it works for like 3 pictures, then i get the same problem again, also tryed to start in save mode, didnt work either

You may need to perform a software repair using PC companion.The process will erase all internal memory.You might need to charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 60% battery.

Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device).

Open PC companion->support zone->phone/tablet software update->repair my phone/tablet blue highlighted.Follow the steps given,do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable. If PC companion does not start the repair process, you might need to run it in compatibility mode with Windows 7 (in some cases XP).

Sorry to hear that you have issues with the camera.

Which build number do you have under Settings -> About phone? The latest update, 14.4.A.0.157, has improvements for the camera which solve this. It may however also be caused by 3:rd party apps currently using the camera.

First of all i deleted snapchat (that was my 3rd party app) after that i tryed again to run in save mode. Also i had a update, and for now im using my camera for like 3 days took a lot of pictures also and it works fine! No issues since i did this.

So i want to thank you guys very much for your fast response and also for the solution!

You can taken screenshot at that moment but some thimes you must restart phone

Sorry you try already erase memory of that app or all memory apps whit name camera. helps for me
