Sony Xperia E earphone not working

so, recently i bought sony mdr-ex15ap earphones, and when i plug it in my sony xperia e, it doesn't work, when i play music what we hear cames from the smartphone speaker, not from the earphone. so, what should i do? can i configure my smartphone so it works? remember that's a sony earphone in a sony smartphone, and it doesn't work. help me please

i was trying to make it work and i find out that if i press that button (which serves to answer the calls, i think) while i plug the 3.5mm jack, it works normally
