Sony Xperia Z1 battery problems

Hi,

My phone has stopped charging for the last few days. It is showing 1% battry and does not charge using Sony charger that came with the mobile.  I have tried connecting to wall socket / laptop as well and also with other usb charger nothing works. I have also tried to restore company settings and also tried recovery using PC companion. Nothing worked. I am able to switch on the mobile & work while connecting to laptop / wall socket, but fails to charge.

I took the mobile to Sony service station at Chennai, but they told as the mobile was purchased at UK it will not be repaired (or even checked) at their service center. Tried calling the Sony support call centre, got the same reply. do not know what to do next.

I bought this phone on 2nd September 2014 when I was living in UK. Now migrated to India.

Yes you select your country then the phone number for that country will appear and if available live chat support and email contact

Yes I did all that. Selected India and contacted the customer service agent. The response I got was it will not be servised in India as I bought the mobile in UK. I tried pushing the agent to connect me to their support serive manager but nothing happened.

I'd ask about options to send it to the place of purchase or have your battery checked at a phone repair shop which maybe easier and cheaper albeit not the best option but the best given the situation
